Oxfam
We were approached by a wonderful marketing agency called Glew Marketing to help bring a range of persona and segmentation datasets for Oxfam to life.
This lovely project was a challenge. All designs had to meet WCAG AA standards (for non-web content such as these downloadable PDFs), but also to be approachable, engaging, easy to follow, and to be used as training tools. A tall order, but one we enjoyed meeting.
Using the Oxfam brand guidelines as a base we agreed with the client to bring in illustrations to match the personas. While we can offer fully bespoke character design, we found a very nicely crafted, matching set via a stock image library, and then set about customising them to be more fit for the purpose. This meant a much lower cost to the client while still enjoying a very good set of character illustrations, recoloured and specifically purposed to fit.
The outcome was that the client loved what we did so much, they’ve come back for more work from us. That’s the best testimonial, but here’s another two:
Caffeine Creative’s collaborative approach impressed me from the outside. They listened to and were attentive to the brief throughout, doing a fantastic job of condensing a huge amount of data into succinct profiles and personas. Further they were an absolute joy to work with; responsive, flexible, and committed to delivering high quality outputs that will stand the test of time.

Accessibility was considered throughout— specifically through the use of colour (high-contrast), text (suitable fonts and sizes) and formats (multiple file formats). The team worked with our lead for digital accessibility and delivered against all of our internal requirements.
