Although his true identity is mostly a mystery, he’s known for his eye-catching pieces of art—which often carry powerful messages about society, people and the environment. What I love about his work is that it’s not just about creating something beautiful, but about making people think about important issues.

His latest work, found on the gates of London Zoo, is a perfect example of how he brings attention to serious topics. The piece shows a group of animals leaving the zoo to venture out into the world. This artwork seems to make a statement about freedom and captivity, especially in the context of animal conservation.

What makes me even happier is that London Zoo has agreed to preserve this piece of art. Many people worry that street art will disappear or be destroyed over time—as we have seen with some Banksy pieces over the years—but the zoo’s decision to protect it means that future generations who walk through the zoo’s gates will be able to experience the piece for themselves and ponder its meaning.

I’m grateful that his work is preserved and valued. It’s not just about the art itself, but the conversations it sparks.
